Pharmacology 1020 teaches pharmacy technician students basic knowledge of the medications most commonly dispensed in pharmacy practice. Students study the uses, mechanisms of action, side effects, and special cautions that technicians should be aware of when working with these drugs and dispensing them to patients. Medications from both the inpatient and outpatient settings are covered.
Students were asked to put together a 5-10 min presentation on a medication of their choice. The objective was to teach the class all the "ins and outs" of the medications to help us become more familiar with many different medications.
