About me
Hey everyone thank you for exploring my ePortfolio, my name is Megan Grangroth. I am a 23 year old from South Jordan, Utah. I was born in West Jordan and lived there till I was about 7 years, after that I moved to Riverton for 14 years and I have recently bought a house with my husband in South Jordan. I am the oldest out of 7 siblings and 20 cousins. My family is very close and we love to travel, go camping, hiking and have BBQ's/family parties together. I married my high school sweetheart of 7 years on February 20, 2020! This is my 4th and final year at SLCC. I have changed my major many times but I think I have finally figured out what degree is going to work for me. I'm very confident that getting a degree in Business is what will be best for me and my future. I'm excited to grow in a subject that I use everyday at my job already and watch my growth in a company that means so much to me. I work for Colliers International, the biggest commercial real estate firm in Utah. I love my job and the people I work with. I am currently a Senior Research Analyst for the business. As part of my job I bring together the statistics for sales and leases on commercial buildings throughout the company and compare them to statistics of other companies all throughout Utah. I have also recently added Argus to my skillset, which is a program that is used to value buildings. Before my job at Colliers I worked as a CNA for 3 years at an assisting living and a rehab hospital. I learned a lot of very interesting life lessons while I was CNA and I am very grateful for the opportunities I had at such a young age. Being a CNA was not easy but it was a very rewarding job most of the time. I love to do anything outdoors. My husband and I love to go fishing, hiking, camping, boating and going on walks with our 2 year old Mini Goldendoodle, Nash. We have been on several hikes throughout all the different canyons here in Utah and have even hiked to fishing lakes in Montana, Wyoming and Idaho. We love going on adventures together whenever we have time to. We have a cabin up in Flaming Gorge that we like to visit regularly. We also love to travel together and have been many places around the U.S., The Bahamas, and Mexico. We plan to do a lot of traveling in our lifetime and have many places in the U.S. and outside of the United States that we would love to visit. I am a very shy person when you first meet me but once I get comfortable around someone I am the craziest person. I love to have fun and usually I have a ton of energy. I love to make people laugh and when I'm in a good mood I could sit and entertain people for hours before I get tired. I love going on spontaneous adventures with my friends, boyfriend or siblings and I love thinking of crazy things to do. I think having fun in life and creating memories is one of the most important things a human can do to stay happy in this crazy world we live in.
